Hi! I’m Sabrina D. Barringer, a passionate special education teacher with over 20 years of experience working with incredible students who have unique and diverse needs. My journey in special education has been both rewarding and enlightening, and I’ve dedicated my career to ensuring that every child I work with feels valued, supported, and joyful in their learning.

My Experience

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various educational settings, collaborating with students of all ages and abilities. My experience ranges from middle school programs to high school transition services, and I’ve developed a deep understanding of the challenges and joys that come with teaching students who have special needs. I hold a Bachlors Degree in Special Educuation and a Masters Degree in Learning and Technology which has equipped me with the tools and knowledge to be an effective advocate and educator.

My Philosophy

I believe that every child deserves an education that is not only effective but also filled with joy and positivity. For me, teaching is not just about imparting knowledge—it’s about creating an environment where students feel safe, happy, and motivated to learn. I’m committed to fostering a classroom culture that celebrates individuality, encourages growth, and promotes well-being.

Outside the Classroom

When I’m not teaching or blogging, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and creating crafts. These activities help me stay balanced and bring my best self to the classroom every day.
